Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly is a Kua Number?
A single digit (1-9, excluding 5 under the common convention) derived from your birth year and gender in the Eight Mansions school. It determines your four auspicious directions. See the Kua calculator.
Why is my BaZi year pillar different from what other sites show?
The BaZi year changes at Li Chun (立春, ~Feb 4), computed astronomically each year. Born in January or early February? Your year pillar belongs to the previous cycle. The calculator shows the exact Li Chun moment used.
Which year does the Flying Stars annual chart use?
The forecast year you select (default: current year). The annual entering-center star for year Y follows the classical rule 9−((Y−4) mod 9): 2020=9, 2021=8, 2022=7, 2023=6, 2024=5, 2025=4, 2026=3.
Is Zi Wei Dou Shu "verified"?
No — and we say so plainly on the page. Our engine implements the mainstream rules with a version number, but has not been independently validated against a reference corpus. Treat charts as traditional interpretation.
Is Bone Weight a real prediction method?
It is a traditional folk system (attributed to Yuan Tiangang). We present it as cultural heritage with the original verses, clearly labelled — not as a validated prediction.
Can I save my charts?
Sign in and tick "save calculation". Your charts appear in My Calculations, where you can re-open them or export a PDF report.
Do you use my birth data for anything else?
No. Inputs are processed to produce your result; saved charts are private to your account and deletable at any time.
